Appalachia Service Project

July 5-11, 2020

Interest Meeting - Thursday, February 20th, 630pm
What is ASP?

The Appalachia Service Project is our annual mission trip for high school students. You will be exposed to a missional lifestyle while doing construction projects, interacting with families, and sharing your story. We believe ASP is more than just a week away from your parents in the summer; it’s a life-changing experience. You will learn skills and develop values to bring back with you so you can live out your calling to be on mission for God every day of your life.

Who can come to ASP?

If you are 14 and have completed 8th grade by the date of our trip, you are eligible to serve at ASP.

Do I need to have construction experience to be part of ASP?

No! This trip is for everyone and anyone, at all skill levels. You will learn a ton of valuable skills and knowledge about construction. By the time you come home, you’ll be ready to renovate your house!

What do I need to do to prepare for ASP?

Our ASP team will meet monthly in preparation for our trip. In these meetings, we will talk about what it means to be on mission, do a book study together, and bond together as a team. These meetings are mandatory and designed to get you heart, mind, and body ready for a week of service. We also ask that every person interested in joining the team completes an application and interview with one of our trip directors.  Applications will be available at Student Ministry and on our Website ( The cost of the trip is about $450 per person.

How can I get involved?

If you are interested in being a team leader for this year, please contact Andrew and he will get you started in the process to become a leader. Because this is a spiritually significant experience for our students, we ask that you be willing to lead and mentor students during the preparations and while on the trip.
